So sorry to hear of Grant’s passing. Wish I had been able to spend time with my cousin in our later years. Because I also am a person who enjoys creating art, I would have loved to see some of his artwork.
As a boy growing up I admired his athletic ability.
My deepest sympathy to his wife Suzie and his children.

I got the word from Mike shortly after his passing. Suddenly had a vision, or may have relived a moment in time. In either case, here it is:
In my vision, I was standing in the breezeway between the dining area and the kitchen, facing the refrigerator. Grant was standing between the table and the refrigerator facing the back door. Although I can’t say what it might’ve been, something funny must’ve happened. Grant was snickering like a child or as if he had just gotten away with the perfect crime. It brought a smile to my face.
A few minutes later, Mike called and I shared recollection. Mike reminded me of Grant’s crooked smile and the little twinkle in his eye win he laughed this way. Such a nice gift for me to remember Grant in this way.
Sue and Grant were alway welcoming to us kids. We were met with an open hand and open arms. Thank you both.
In closing, I just realized something else. Most of my countless hours waiting for Mike to “finish” his hair were spent sitting in a chair talking to Grant. And, until this very moment, I had always considered that wasted time. But, it wasn’t really wasted time. Thank you Grant.
