To the Dempsey family, my sincere condolences. I remember Mr. Dempsey as a child because I took piano lessons from his wife and spent countless hours at their home. In college I have many fond memories with Michelle at Oswego, (most I can't mention here). As a retired Fulton Police Officer, I had the pleasure of working with Chris (Zoid) Dempsey. And of course, all of us "older people" remember frequenting the sports store. Thank you all for the memories and rest in peace Mr. Dempsey.

My condolences to the Dempsey family.
I got to know Mr. Dempsey when he brought Dempsey Sports to Oswego in 1979, which also facilitated friendships with Mrs.Dempsey, Randy, Mike and Michelle, such a wonderful family. As a history teacher, to me Mr. Dempsey was the epitome of The Greatest Generation. He was humble, selfless, kind, had an iron will, knew the meaning of sacrifice and loved his country. I have many fond memories of talking sports with him at the shop in Oswego, a true Irish gentleman. Gods speed to Mr.Dempsey, we will not see his like again.
