Obituary of Barney Naioti

Barney J. Naioti, 52, of Myrtle Beach, formerly of Fulton died Thursday, August 11th following a long battle with addiction. He will finally be reunited with his most loved ones, his parents, Francine Michelle and Barney J. Naioti, Sr. Barney served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division and while in the Army he travelled the world. He was considered one of the greatest salesmen. Barney wrote a movie script “Soldiers of Heaven”. He believed in the best of people though he often saw the worst, Barney had a heart as big as the outdoors but couldn’t build a shelter to protect it from life’s storms. He had a laugh that could cure and a heart that could heal. Barney is survived by his wife, Tina of Myrtle Beach; his broken hearted daughter, Jessica Marie Naioti of Fulton; his grandson, Benjamin J. Naioti of Fulton; a sister, Terri (Rod) Alzmann of Long Island; a niece, Jamie; two nephews, Rod and Andrew as well as several cousins and close friends. His family would like to encourage all to become more aware of this epidemic, that if you or someone you know needs help, to attend a 12 Step meeting and to simply Love as Barney did. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 309 Buffalo St., Fulton. A calling hour will be held in the church atrium from 5 to 6p.m. prior to the Mass. Burial, with military honors, will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Following his burial, the Naioti family would like to invite everyone to the Polish Home in Fulton for a celebration of Barney's Life.
