Obituary of John L. Furlong

John L. Furlong, 82, of New Haven, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 at home with his loving family by his side. John was born March 23, 1942 in Fulton to Harold and Doris Muckey. He was the owner of Furlong’s Drywall for several years and was also employed as an auto mechanic at Miller’s Mobile in Fulton. John retired in 2004 from the maintenance department of McLane Northeast in Baldwinsville. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and “tinkering” in his garage. John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marian Bresnahan Furlong; his daughter, Theresa Furlong of New Haven; his son, John (Karen) Furlong of Fulton; his grandchildren, Brandon Furlong of Oswego and Zachary Furlong of Fulton; one great granddaughter, Brooklynn Furlong as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters and by his brother, Garry Muckey. As John requested, there are no calling hours or services.
