Obituary of Maureen Ann Dilk

Maureen Ann Dilk, 76, of Fulton, passed away Monday, August 5, 2024 at Iroquois Nursing Home in Jamesville. Maureen was born August 10, 1947 in New Haven, Connecticut to Charles J. and Mary E. Miller. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from St. Anselm College and her Master’s degree in Physiology from the University of Detroit. Maureen was a Registered Nurse and began her career in the U.S. Army Dispensary at the Berlin Brigade in West Berlin, Germany. Following her assignment in Germany she was then employed as a Registered Nurse at Tufts Medical Center in Boston and the Yale New Haven Medical Center before moving to New York. Maureen was the Fifth Floor Charge Nurse at Loretto in Syracuse before accepting the position of School Nurse at Volney Elementary School in Fulton. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting greeting cards. Maureen is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jhoram A. Dilk of Fulton; her sons, Joshua A. (Diane) Dilk of Boston, Massachusetts and Stephen D. (Julia Monroe) Dilk of Enterprise, Oregon; her sister, Nancy Leary of Middletown, Connecticut and by her grandson, Aaron Dilk. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Marne Deveney Dilk; her brothers, Stephen Miller and Jerry Miller. There are no calling hours or services.
