Obituary of Deborah Sue Lampman
Deborah Sue Lampman, 74, of Phoenix passed away Monday, February 19, 2024 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born October 21, 1949 in Amsterdam, New York to Charles and Geraldine Goldy. Deb was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School, Class of 1967 in Amsterdam. She attended Fulton Montgomery Community College and earned an Associate’s degree in Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse specializing in Geriatrics and was employed by several healthcare facilities in Central New York until her retirement in 2011. Deborah loved her country and was extremely patriotic having served in the U.S. Navy. She was instrumental in establishing the Salt City Blues which is the U.S. Naval Reserve Women’s branch of WAVES (Women’s Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service) in Central New York. She owned a Curves franchise in Phoenix from 2002 until 2005 which created many relationships within the community. Deborah was a fantastic cook and an avid crafter.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Keeno Lampman; her daughters, Jennifer (Marc) Maxam of Phoenix and Keri (Jeremy) Gulick of Casper, WY; her brothers, Charles (Joanna) Goldy of Amsterdam, Patrick Goldy of Hilton, NY and Gerald (Judy) Goldy of Dunedin, Fl., her sister, Coleen (Daniel) Rueb of Tarpon Springs, FL; her grandchildren, Joshua and Victoria Dievendorf as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Deborah was predeceased by her grandson, Zachary Dievendorf.
Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2024 with services to follow at the Pennellville United Methodist Church, 389 County Route 54, Pennellville, NY 13132.
