Obituary of Adam T. DeSantis
Adam Thomas DeSantis, 37, of Liverpool, formerly of Phoenix passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024. Adam was born 8-09-1986 in Syracuse to Thomas Guy and Ellen Marie DeSantis, Jr. He was a graduate of John C. Birdlebough High School in 2004 and grew up being his father's right-hand man in the family business, DeSantis Enterprises. Adam used the skills taught to him by his father to gain employment as a heavy equipment operator in the International Union of Operating Engineers Local #158, Syracuse. He was currently employed with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #1249 as a crane operator. Adam enjoyed the thrill of driving anything fast with a motor, he raced MotoCross and SnoCross and was known by his number #809. He was well known for his racing ability at local racing tracks where he was awarded many trophies for winning races, especially at his favorite track, Frozen Ocean. Adam and his brother enjoyed shooting trap and skeet. More recently, Adam was building furniture by combining wood and epoxy resin to create unique artistic pieces.
He is survived by his son, Sebastian; his step-children, Derek Travers and Lexie Lonkey; his parents, Thomas G. and Ellen M. DeSantis, Jr. of Phoenix; his fiancée, Jamie Reichel of Liverpool, her daughter Taylor and wonderful "Grand Dude" to Baby Sophia; his sisters, Maria (Steven) Homer of Phoenix and Tracie DeSantis of Phoenix; his brother, Joshua (Dani) DeSantis of Volney; his nieces, Jayde, Brittany, Haylie, Andrea, Valery and Daisy and by one great niece and great nephew.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2024 with services to follow at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton.
