I worked at Fulton Tool for nine years learning CNC and had the pleasure of knowing Bruce. One day I walked into Bruce's office to say good morning, Bruce asked how was your weekend? I responded that my back was very sore from motorcycle racing. So he gets up from his desk, lays down on the floor and shows me some stretching exercises to help reduce my pain.
Wow, what an awesome human being. I always respected Bruce as a business owner, and person.

Bruce was a good friend and customer always interested in new technology,
I will miss him and always have fond memories. Bruce reminded me of my father who also lived a long life, just a few days short of 104, very smart and hardworking, and a valued friend to many. My wife Alice and I wish our heartfelt condolences to all of Bruce's family, friends and associates, he will truly be missed but fondly remembered.

Linda & Carol. I have fond memories of your dad and think often of the interesting conversations we had with him when I’d visit with mom & dad (Madalyn & Chuck). The friendship of your parents meant so much to my parents. I remember how they’d bring fish down to their house to share when dad was having health issues.
My sincere sympathies to you both and the family. Take care of yourselves Roxanne Falise (Harris)

Mr. Phelps was instrumental in my Christian upbringing, he was a good Sheppard to adults and children at the First United
Methodist church, That my family belonged to. It was a real Christian family and Mr. Phelps was always there. One of the most helpful and uplifting men, I have ever met. One Sunday morning, I remember, when I was 5, I tended to get away from my parents in the sanctuary and would just wander around the church and through the sunday school area, I see Mr. Phelps
walking toward me and thought to myself, "uh oh, I'm in trouble", but no he said "are you lost? He took me by the hand and started asking how I was doing and guided me to my Sunday school class, with a "I'll see ya later" and always he was just the most kind and caring man. He guided all of the young people in church and in the Methodist Youth Fellowship. along with his older children, who gave us all amazing experiences. Taboggan races, on Snowy weekends, with hot chocolate and all the dinners we shared with our congregation. When my father died, he was so kind and inviting to make sure my Mom and my siblings that we were missed and welcomed back to the church. His kindness always was so heartfelt and genuine. He was a true gentleman and a great example of how to be an exemplary human being. I think of him and his family often. He will be missed but he left behind a wonderful legacy, not only for his family but for his Christian family too and like our Almighty God, Mr. Phelps was not partial, he was good to everyone. Thank you, Mr. Phelps

Condolences to Bruce's family. Bruce was a mentor, colleague, father-figure and friend to me for over 40 years. He was an advocate for a trained workforce, for economic development, for good health care, for business and labor, for the disadvantaged and for so much more. Bruce was a loyal supporter and a demanding leader at the same time. He was a hard worker and had high expectations for others. The community is a better place because of Bruce. And even when we might get stuck in airports coming back from a conference, he maintained a sense of humor and enjoyed a cocktail or two.
Rest in peace, Bruce. It was a lovely cruise!

Bruce has been in my life since I was a little girl and my Dad worked at Fulton Tool. During the summer picnics he would drive us kids around the picnic area in one of his antique cars. He was such a kind and generous man. When I became an adult, he was such a great mentor to my husband and I with our photo finishing business that was located in the mall buildings built off of Fulton Tool. And, we were so blessed to have been worshipping in the same church for years until we moved. We feel very blessed to have had him in our lives. Peace, comfort and strength to Linda, Ellen and the whole Phelps family. Love and Hugs, Jamie and Debbie St. Onge

So very sorry about Bruce. He will be missed by many people. I have known Bruce for many years. He was always a joy to be with or around. I used to pick him up for Administrative Board meetings and we had many interesting and fun talks. Our church was always a priority for him. He gave so much of himself to the church. Church life will never be the same. Rest in peace as your work is now done. Thank you Bruce.

To the members of the Phelps' family.
I'd like to add my condolences on the passing of your family's patriarch, Bruce Phelps.
As a retired publisher and editor of The Palladium-Times, our paths crossed many times, both professionally and socially.
We used to kid each other on having the same first name and compared notes as to their respective origins.
As a journalist, I appreciated Bruce's frankness and honesty. When he thought we did a good job, he was not stingy in his praise, but when he thought we missed the mark, he was not shy about expressing that point of view, either.
Bruce was the perfect example of an Oswego Countian who paid his community rent and then some. His work ethic, accomplishments and community contributions were characteristics to be emulated.
The region, and, in particular, the Fulton area, has lost one of its pillars.
Sympathetically,
Bruce Frassinelli
