Obituary of Lee Acker

Lee “Skip” Acker, 77, of Fulton passed away Monday, October 27, 2025 at home with his loving family by his side. He was born January 5, 1948 in Fulton to Richard and Dorothy Acker and was a graduate of Fulton High School, Class of ‘65. Lee retired from Canfield Machine & Tool Company where he worked for 10 years. Skip was a fun-loving person and very proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. While they were raising their family, he and his wife Sue were foster parents to several children. Lee was a member of the Upper New York Walk to Emmaus/ Closer Walk Community. Lee is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pastor Sue (Suellen) Acker; his children, Russell Acker of Apopka, FL, Steven (Lisa) Acker of Fulton, Michael Acker of Fulton, Robert (Amber) Acker of Fulton, Katrina (Ken) Orshaw of Hannibal and Teresa Winslow; his siblings, Suzanne Place of Fulton, Bill (Peggy) Acker of Oswego, Victor (Anne Marie) Acker of Weymouth, MA and Dana Acker of West Roxbury, MA; eight grandchildren, Gabriel, Hannah, Ethan, Justin, Megan, Rachael, Ruby and Jade; two great grandchildren, Opal and Fern as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lee was predeceased by his brother, Richard (Karen) Acker. A Celebration of Life Service for Lee will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Hannibal Methodist Church, 320 Church St., Hannibal. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the church. A dish to pass lunch will follow the service.
