Obituary of David A. Webber

David A. Webber, 74, of Fulton passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. He was born in Fulton on July 12, 1951 to Ruth M. and Albert G. Webber, Sr. Dave was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School, Class of ‘69 and received his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Syracuse University in 1973. He was employed as an office manager with Beneficial Financial for 35 years until his retirement in 2003. Dave reentered the work force as an office manager for a few local financial institutions. Dave had a passion for his community and helping others which was often reflected through his volunteer work. He and his wife, Lee volunteered for 11 years with the American Red Cross providing disaster relief to states along the Gulf Coast. They also volunteered with Fulton Little League where Dave was a coach for numerous seasons and held several positions on the board including President. He was so dedicated to the players that he even umpired a game on crutches! Dave’s passion for baseball could be heard through his enthusiasm as he hosted the Fulton Little League’s Opening Day Ceremonies. He enjoyed watching Syracuse University football, basketball and was a huge fan of the NY Yankees and recently traveled to Yankee Stadium to watch a game. Dave wanted to make a difference in his community and dabbled for a period of time in local and national politics. He was a member and Lay Reader at All Saints Episcopal Church. Dave is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lee Webber of Fulton; his daughter, Kimberly Timms and her husband, Johnathan of Guyton, GA; three step-sons, Jeffrey (Janet) Bleau of Lowville, Brian Bleau of Baldwinsville and Michael (Alyssa) Bleau of Wilmington, NC; his brother, Albert Webber of Fulton; his sister, Susan DeMar (Webber) of Virginia and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Ruth M. and Albert G. Webber, Sr. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 17, 2025 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 153 South First St., Fulton, NY with a reception to follow in the fellowship hall of the church.
