Obituary of Joseph M. Cavalier

Joseph M. Cavalier, 68, of Fulton passed away at home on Monday, June 9, 2025. He was born in Fulton on July 6, 1956 to Frederick and Alice Cavalier and was a graduate of Oswego Catholic High School, Class of 73 and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from S.U.N.Y. Potsdam. Joe was employed as a supervisor at Birds Eye Foods in Fulton for 20 years and as a car salesman at Drivers Village in Cicero. He enjoyed fishing on Lake Ontario, hunting at Moose Creek in the Adirondacks, camping, cooking and gardening. He was a fan of the NY Yankees, Syracuse University sports and was a season ticket holder with his grandchildren to the Syracuse Crunch hockey games. Joe was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Fulton. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Nancy (Cook) Cavalier; his daughters, Nicole (Alan) Baker and Michelle Cavalier; his twin sister, Joann Cavalier; his brothers, Edward (Maggie) Cavalier and Fred (Jeanne) Cavalier; his grandchildren, Aiden and Katherine Baker as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his siblings, Judith Cavalier, Barbara VanDelinder, Mary DeLong and Michael Cavalier. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the funeral home prior to the service. Private burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fulton.
