Obituary of Ellen P. McHale
Ellen P. McHale, 86, of Phoenix passed away Friday, April 25, 2025. She was born April 29, 1938 in Syracuse to Edwin and Dorothy Pepin. Ellen was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School, Class of 1956 and had been employed as a bookkeeper for several companies in Central New York. Ellen was an avid gardener, known as a very “crafty” person and in her free time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidery and crocheting. She was a communicant of St. Stephen’s Church.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James C. McHale, Jr. of Phoenix; her daughter, Marcia Grylls of Phoenix; her sons, James C. (Karen) McHale, III of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, Dave McHale of Phoenix, Kevin (Jennifer) McHale of Manhattan and US Army MSGT Christopher (Kristen) McHale of Fortson, Georgia; seven grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers.
Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2025 with services to follow at Brown Funeral Home, 21 Flood Drive in Fulton.
