Obituary of Thomas F. Stone
Thomas F. Stone, 78, of Hannibal, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025 at the Syracuse V.A. Medical Center. He was born November 30, 1946 in Oswego to Carlton and Margaret Stone. Tom was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Army National Guard for 15 years. He was employed for 31 years as a machine repairman at Lipe Rollway Bearing in Liverpool. Tom was a member of the American Legion Prior Stock Post #1552, Hannibal and the V.F.W. Post #569, Fulton. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, going out to breakfast and playing pull tabs.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon M. Stone; his three sons, Thomas Stone of Hannibal, Timothy (Wendi) Stone of Sterling and Gene Stone of Hannibal; his sister, Ann Marie (Brian) Sawyer of Oswego; his half-brother, Stephen (Nancy) Grela of Delaware; four grandchildren, Aaron, Evan, Benjamin and Owen Stone as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Carlton “Gene” Stone; his mother, Margaret J. Grela; his brother, Edward Stone and by his step-father, John Grela.
