Obituary of Keith G. Van Buren

Keith G. Van Buren, a lifelong resident of Volney and Fulton, NY, passed away on February 13, 2025 at the age of 71. Born on December 19, 1953, in Fulton, New York, Keith was the beloved son of George D. and Anna Mae (Yager) Van Buren. Keith was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School in 1972. A hardworking businessman, he owned and operated Van Buren Tire Service in Volney during the 1970’s and 1980’s, where he outfitted thousands of cars with new tires. At one time, he owned three tow trucks, offering roadside emergency assistance for vehicles of all sizes. More recently, Keith produced banners, signs, and various printed materials as a self-employed entrepreneur. Keith is survived by his longtime domestic partner, Linda Stevens; his children, Mike (Beth) Van Buren, Crystal Van Buren, and Brian (Ashley) Van Buren. He was a grandfather to Madeline, Alyssa, Nia, Eliana, Riley, Carter, and Lucas. Keith also leaves behind his sister, Georgia (Roy) Weihe. In addition, the mother of his children, Dawn (George) Zwolinski. He was also the proud owner of six cats. Keith was well-known in various circles and his entrepreneurial spirit will be remembered by all who knew him. Per Keith’s wishes there are no calling hours or services.
